Terms and Conditions

Ordering / Payment

Orders only accepted with payment by credit card at time of ordering. No cash on delivery. We do not accept payment by cheque.

We reserve the right to carry out further credit checks before items are dispatched and depending on the outcome may decide not to accept your order. If this is the case, you will be notified by email.

A landline contact number for the cardholder must be provided at the time of ordering - orders will not be processed without this. This number will only be used in connection with processing your order and wil not be used by us for telemarketing or passed on by us to any third party.

VAT

All prices include VAT at the appropriate rate for the item. A VAT receipt will be included with your goods.

Postage / Delivery Charges

Delivery charges vary depending on the size and weight of each item and are displayed at the checkout. Delivery is free to the UK mainland for orders totalling £150 or more.

Out of Stock Items / Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, you will be contacted with the option to cancel your order or for us to place it on back order for you. If we place an item on back order we will advise you of the expected delivery date.

Please note that some items are only available to order and a deposit will be required at the time of ordering. Once your order and deposit is received we will advise you of the expected delivery date. We will contact you to arrange payment of the balance when the goods are ready for dispatch.

Delivery

Your items will be sent by Royal Mail Standard Packets or Parcelforce 48 / other reputable courier depending on the size and weight of the item and we aim to dispatch it within 24 hours. However, if you would like your item delivered by Parcelforce 24 please contact us for a price. Delivery times may be longer if orders are placed over the weekend or bank holidays.

We offer free local delivery on larger items within 5 miles of the shop - please contact us for further details.

Please note that items will only be sent to the cardholder's billing address. The cardholder may request delivery to an alternative address in writing by fax, post or email. This must be signed by the cardholder and we may telephone you to confirm the arrangements. We reserve the right not to allow delivery to an alternate address.

If you are not in when the courier calls a card will be left. The courier may attempt redelivery at their discretion. It is your responsibility to contact the courier as indicated on the card to arrange re-delivery. If further attempts to deliver are unsuccessful the item will be returned to us. Once the item has been returned to us there will be a charge for re-delivery whatever the value of the order.

If you enter the delivery address incorrectly or refuse delivery a charge will be made for re-delivery.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to process your order within 24 hours. You will normally receive your order within 3 - 5 working days within mainland UK, though delays may be experienced during busy times & bank holidays, and for all other areas.

Please note that goods sent by Parcelforce / courier will require a signature on delivery, and cannot be left outside an empty premises.

International buyers please contact us for delivery charges and times.

Guarantee

We offer standard manufacturer's guarantees on all our products.

Most wheeled goods come with a standard 6 months manufacturer's guarantee. Phil and Teds and Out n About products come with a 1 year guarantee. Bugaboo comes with a 2 year manufacturer's guarantee.

If your product develops a fault within the guarantee period please contact us in the first instance.

If your product develops a fault outside of the guarantee period it may still be repairable but there may be a charge for this. Please contact us in the first instance so we can make the relevant enquiries of the manufacturer.

If you are local to Amesbury we may be able to offer a basic loan buggy whilst yours is repaired. Please contact us for details.

Returns Policy

All of our products come with our no quibble guarantee - and we will refund you the full value of any goods if you are not entirely happy with your purchase.

Items may be returned to us within 10 days without having to give a reason. As long as the goods are returned in an unused state and in the original packaging we will refund the full cost of those items, or exchange them if you prefer.

We do not currently offer a returns service. Parcels can be returned via Royal Mail / Parcelforce. Any postal charges incurred will only be refunded in the case of faulty goods. Where items are returned in a state that is not suitable for general re-sale, refunds will be made up to a maximum of 70% of the value of the goods at our discretion.

No liability is accepted for goods lost or damaged in return transit - the sender is responsible for pursuing any claims to this effect with the courier concerned. We recommend that you obtain at least a proof of posting.

Refunds will be processed as soon as possible but in any event all refunds will be processed within 28 days.

Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled in writing (by email or fax) at any point before they are dispatched otherwise goods must be returned as per our returns policy.

Easy Payment Scheme Terms

As easy as ABC!

  1. Choose your products.
  2. Pay a deposit and make payments as and when you wish until your items are paid for or pay the balance in full when you collect / are ready to take delivery.
  3. We deliver the goods to your door if required.

We do not charge interest on our payment plan and you can make payments as and when you like. The only condition is that the goods must be paid for in full before they are delivered / collected.

We will aim to have your order ready 1 month before your baby is due. We will contact you around that time to arrange collection or delivery as appropriate. We ask for 24 hours notice for collection / delivery as your items are stored off site.

Please note that some furniture items come flat packed and are for home assembly. Please bear this in mind if they are needed as soon as the baby arrives.

All goods ordered remain the property of Amesbury Baby Centre until paid for in full.

50% of the total amount must be paid before the goods will be ordered.

We will endeavour to get the exact goods that you choose, however due to the changing nature of our suppliers' stocks if any goods are unavailable we reserve the right to offer a suitable alternative. We will inform you of this at the time of ordering the goods. We will also inform you if any delays are expected on any item.
